It doesn’t take a hard-boiled, Film Noir detective to know that a woman with a pen is more lethal than a smoking gun; and the crux of the matter, the classic Femme Fatale is crucial to a ‘caper gone correct.’ This dangerous dame segues into FAN FATALE—the femme may only be implied but she is definitely not silent—and the fan is not fatal but a die-hard lover of literature in all its genres.

THE FAN FATALE WOMEN’S LIT FESTIVAL 2008: THE PREQUEL (you know,the first one) is a literary festival designed to spotlight women writers and the genres in which they excel. This is a four day event with a slumber party style kick-off, designed to reminisce on childhoods spent reading under the covers. The daily events will consist of workshops, panels, seminars, and author readings. Special features will include a Film Festival, a cocktail party, an Amazing Race pastiche, a writing contest, spa pampering and a closing brunch.
